Clubhouse and Racing update
Published 11:23 on 12 Apr 2021
Just a quick update on the plans for the clubhouse and racing from today until the 17th May. We will be opening the clubhouse for members to use the upstairs toilets from Wednesday. Please follow the one way and give way systems marked on the floor, social distancing rules and wear a mask inside the clubhouse.
There will be tea/coffee and cakes available after sailing on Wednesday, (thanks to Katherine Leather) These can be collected and paid for (cards only) at the kitchen using the one way system, entering through the downstairs door and exiting through the door at the Western end of the club. Drinks and cakes will need to be eaten outside.
Once we see how this works we will look to open the bar after sailing as well. If anyone would like to volunteer for the kitchen or bar next Sunday or beyond let myself (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mark Jenkinson (email@example.com) know.
If this small trial is successful we will then open the volunteer rota system for members to sign up. Hopefully another small step towards normality.
It was great to see so many boats on the water on Sunday. With COVID restrictions meaning less people in the race box, or less people in safety boats there may be occasions when courses are smaller or similar for fleets, we would ask for your understanding until restrictions are lifted further.
