It was bright and sunny with a light north easterly breeze in Gurnard Bay. Beautiful day for mid November. The light winds kept all fleets racing around a short technical course in the bay. The short course kept the Shadow catamarans close together, the final tussle being won by Pete Newlands. In the Asymmetric group, the RS 400 of Graham Deegan triumphed over the following RS100s. The Medium handicap was won Chris Hobday on his Aero 9, the light winds keeping most of the fleet on shore. In the Slow group, the Laser 4.7 of Ollie Evans was beaten on handicap by Kate Gibbs and Mike Peddar in their Picos. The juniors sailing Teras were headed home by Illy Taylor-Burns, who held on to the lead from Thomas Leather and in third, his eight year old brother Samuel in his first race.
