A gentle Westerly breeze welcomed the Frostbite series sailors on Sunday morning. It was business as usual for the Shadows as Paul Bowen took victory from Carl Blenkinsop and Pete Newlands. Shaun Kellett had the opportunity to admire his boat from afar as he rounded East Lepe and slid into the chilly Solent. Sailor and boat were happily reunited shortly afterwards. The fast handicap was dominated by the RS 100's of Brett Aarons, followed by Mark Harrison and Ric Newnham. Chris Hobday won the customary medium handicap dual with Kingsley Brown's Aero. Pico Races took all slow handicap podium positions with Kate Gibbs leading Mike Peddar and Marcus Richter home. Thomas Leather managed to get past Illeana Taylor-Burns to win the RS Tera junior fleet with Samuel Leather finishing third. Next weekend is the finale of the Frostbite series and racing is followed by a Festive lunch and annual prize giving with a special prize for the best Christmas jumper!
