COVID-19 UPDATE

There have been some further interpretations of the current lockdown regulations and I will do my best to explain them to you! Outdoor sports centres, including water sports are required to close and the RYA have clarified that this includes sailing clubs. They have also clarified that boating activities and any other sporting activities that normally take place from sailing club premises must stop.RYA interpretation is that recreational boating from a public outdoor space for single households and support bubbles, or two persons from different households with social distancing is permitted. You are permitted to take out a boat from a public mooring, public slipway or launch a boat from the beach. However, as GSC is not a public outdoor space, and is required to close, boating is not permitted from our site. We would therefore ask that if you choose to go sailing as part of your permitted activity that the club slipways are not used for launching or recovery and that current guidelines are followed at all times.
