Frostbite Series 6 - Sunday 9th December
The cold strong wind and rough sea forced the race officer to cancel the last race of the 2018 season. The sailors weren't too unhappy about it as they had the end of season prize giving and festive lunch later in the day. After a lovely turkey lunch, pudding and coffees, prizes were presented by club Admiral Mrs Joyce Martin to those who had placed in the top three overall in each race series. Special

Sailing Update December 2018
This coming Sunday is the final race of the season, the weather has not been kind through the latter part of the year so fingers crossed we get one last race in! Following the race (or at 1pm if racing is abandoned) will be the Annual prize giving so please come down and support your fellow sailors. Prizes will be awarded for series results, as well as a few special prizes for mini sailors

Frostbite Series 3 - Sunday 18th November
A bright sunny Sunday with a brisk, cold north easterly wind created pleasant conditions for a November Frostbite series race. Paul Bowen took a commanding victory in the Shadow catamarans from Shaun Kellett and Carl Blenkinsop. Autumn Series 4 - Sunday 14th October
Heavy rain and a cold, brisk Northerly wind put off all but the keenest sailors on Sunday morning. The Race Officer set courses inside the bay to keep the boats inshore. Two Shadow catamarans flew around a small, tight course as they battled each other, never more than a dozen boat lengths apart. Martin Scott managed the conditions best and won from Paul Tanner. Late Summer Series 4 - Sunday 2nd September
Summer made a return to Gurnard Bay last Sunday. Bright sunshine and warmth also brought a tricky south easterly wind. Business as usual in the catamaran fleet as Paul Bowen led home the nine Shadows from Carl Blenkinsop and Shaun Kellett.
