It was bright and sunny with a light north easterly breeze in Gurnard Bay. Beautiful day for mid November. The light winds kept all fleets racing around a short technical course in the bay. The short course kept the Shadow catamarans close together, the final tussle being won by Pete Newlands. In the Asymmetric group, the RS 400 of Graham Deegan triumphed over the following RS100s. It was great to see so many people out racing and enjoying the fantastic conditions last Sunday in the Frostbite series. There are still five more races to go in this series so here's hoping we get more great weather like that! It's time to get the Brasso out (other silver polishes are available) and if you were lucky or possibly even proficient enough to win some silverware at the 2016 end of year

Press Release from Gurnard Sailing Club, Cowes, Isle of Wight. Gurnard Sailing Club's annual Cowes Dinghy Week Regatta began on Saturday, attracting some fifty-five entries for the afternoon racing and twenty-four cadets to the junior event. The Junior Regatta was sailed in a ten knot southerly wind and featuredtwo classes, Picos and Laser 4.7s.
